BTST Mission Statement

The mission of the Butte Tarpon Swim Team is to promote competitive swimming and develop each swimmer’s abilities to their fullest potential.

BTST, as a member of Montana Swimming and USA Swimming, supports the core values of USA Swimming:

• Achieve Competitive Success

Organization

BTST is a parent-owned non-profit swim club. The parents elect a Board of Directors at the end of the short course season. The parents meet monthly to discuss policy and organize activities. The Board meets as needed, and is responsible for financial and personnel decisions. All parents are expected to participate in the club organization and activities. Parental participation is VERY IMPORTANT for the team to be successful!

Coaches are hired by the Board of Directors, and are responsible for the training of swimmers. The head coach supervises the assistant and volunteer coaches.
